About the artist
Dick Yencer has been crafting designs of wood and metal for much of his life. His father was an avid carpenter and influenced Dick's love of the craft at an early age. No doubt that Dick's colorful family has influenced his work as well - has an adopted daughter from China, an adopted son from Indonesia and two biological children. Dick has a distinctively creative way of looking at raw materials and visualizing something beautiful as well as practical. He is not only a designer and artist, but also a carpenter and welder, a combination that is uniquely showcased in his work. Currently, he design and constructs custom furniture, specializing in the mixing of materials, as well as metal sculptures and fountains.
